Qualification Rules

We do not MAKE the rules, but we DO follow them...

  • You have to be a member of a FIFe member to be able to take part as an exhibitor
  • Your cat has to be of a fully recognised breed or be a housecat
  • Your cat has to be qualified according to the FIFe-rules
  • Your club will have to confirm your membership and qualifications

The qualifiation for the World Show is checked and confimed by the National Federation or Club where the exhibitor holds his membership.

Qualification Rules - The Long version

We do not make the rules, but we do follow them...

  • You have to be a member of a FIFe member to be able to take part as an exhibitor

  • Your cat has to be of a fully recognised breed or be a housecat
    • Only cats of fully recognized breeds and house cats belonging to individuale FIFe members can qualify for and may compete at the World Show

  • Your cat has to be qualified according to the FIFe-rules
    Participation in the World Show is only possible for cats which have:
    • Obtained one of the following titles
      • International Champion, International Premior or higher
      • House cats with the title Distinguished Show Merit (DSM)

    • Achieved the following qualification in the 13 months prior to the show 
      • Kittens (class 12)
        (Addition for class 12: Kittens 4-7 months may participate in class 12 at the World Show, if they have achieved at least 1x Excellent 1. This is valid only in class 12)
        • Best in Variety or
        • Nomination for Best in Show or
        • 3 times Excelent 1

      • Juniors (class 11)
        • Best in Variety or
        • Nomination for Best in Show or
        • 3 times Excelent 1

      • Adults (classes 01 to 10)
        • Best in Variety or
        • Nomination for Best in Show or
        • Each adult cat that qualified in the kitten class or in the junior class during the 13 months before the World Show.

      • House cats (class 14)
        • Nomination for Best in Show house cat

  • The qualification for the World Show is checked and confirmed by the National Federation or Club where the exhibitor holds his membership.
